Kanakavalli Kanjivaram Silk Sari 20-040-HS001-00011

This sari is from Kanakavalli’s Reiya collective that have undergone a series of hand processes to soften and age the drape. It is marked by age-muted zari, and a sumptuous bodied but butter soft hand feel.

This regal kanjivaram sari in black is handwoven with geometric stripes, all over the body. The borders have rudraksham, diamond, vanki(chevron) and salangai(anklet) motifs in gold zari. The pallu features an ettu kol band edged by annam, yaanai(elephant), rudraksham, floral and salangai motifs in gold zari, woven using 'adai' technique.
